Potomac Radiation Oncology Center is one of only a few Centers to offer most advanced cancer treatment technology.  The Trilogy system combines a treatment machine with an imaging machine. It enables the radiation therapist to pinpoint where the tumor is--at the moment of treatment--and position patients very precisely for delivering radiation doses with submillimeter accuracy reducing radiation to surrounding healthy tissue. The Trilogy system has a more tightly focused beam and can deliver doses at least 60 percent faster than conventional accelerators to reduce the effects of tumor motion, shorten treatment times and enhance patient comfort.
